YouTube Video Creation - Certified Teachers (Contract)

We are creating YouTube videos to help aspiring teachers pass their certification exams. Created by teachers for teachers, our videos offer test strategies, content review, and test info. We need teachers certified in the U.S.

This is an online, remote, contract role. All work is paid per piece.

Project Description

As a dynamic and knowledgeable certified educator, you'll leverage your expertise to create supportive YouTube videos to help future teachers with their certification exams.

You may create a variety of video content types, such as scripted informational videos, strategy-focused videos using sample questions, and concise informational clips. Here are a few examples:

The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a knack for clear and engaging communication. This role involves creating videos that are less than 10 minutes long, with no video editing required.

  • Create engaging and informative YouTube videos focused on teacher certification exam prep
  • Present information in a clear, concise, and engaging manner
  • Ensure all content is accurate, current, and relevant to teacher certification exams
  • Maintain a consistent and professional on-screen presence

How to Apply:

  1. Complete the application, including all required candidate questions.
  2. Upload or provide a link to your resume.
  3. Provide a file or link to a sample video featuring you providing instruction on any subject, such as solving a math problem or tips for teaching in a classroom. The sample video should be under 2 minutes and requires no special video editing.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in any subject
  • Experience: Passed a state or national teacher certification exam
  • Equipment: Microphone, camera, and digital writing pad/stylus
  • Skills: Create high quality videos (no video editing skills/software required)
  • Competencies:
    • Ability to explain complex concepts in simple and engaging manner
    • Strong understanding of teacher certification exams and test prep
    • Ability to work independently (this is a remote contract role)
    • Comfortable and confident on camera
  • Communication: Responds professionally to feedback in a timely manner

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Passed certification exams in the following states: Florida, Texas
  • Teaching experience (any level)
  • Previous experience creating educational video content

The Contract Process

  1. Complete the application and submit with your resume and video sample.
  2. Applications are approved and contracts sent on Wednesdays.
  3. Submit the contract within the 5-day signing window.
  4. The following Wednesday, you’ll receive onboarding instructions.

Make a short video where you introduce yourself and explain how to solve a simple problem in any subject. Your explanation should be aimed at fellow teachers and adults preparing for an exam.  

Paste a link to your video. We will only consider applicants who submit a sample video and will use this video to get a better sense of your audio and visual setup and your teaching style.

VIDEO REQUIREMENTS:
-You must be on screen for at least part of the video
-Content should consist of you explaining how to do something, but the topic can be of your choosing
- If using a screen sharing program, like OneNote, all text should be legible
-You can use a previously recorded video if it contains the required content

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
-Use the BEST AUDIO POSSIBLE, (we recommend a microphones that is external or part of your headphones, NOT a laptop microphone) 
-Use a tablet or stylus - DO NOT use a mouse to write.
