Math Lesson Writing (Contract)

ROLE TITLE
 
Study.com is seeking experienced Math Experts to create engaging, academically rigorous longform lessons for our educational platform. Our ideal math Expert possesses deep subject matter knowledge, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to explain complex mathematical concepts in an accessible manner while maintaining academic integrity. This is an online, remote contract role. All work is paid per piece.

 

 
Project Description
  • Developing 30 comprehensive academic lessons (1,000-2,000 words) based on provided titles and keywords
  • Creating clear, accurate content that fully addresses the lesson topic while maintaining academic rigor
  • Reviewing and editing FAQ sections to ensure accuracy and alignment with lesson content
  • Crafting appropriate Header titles that incorporate keywords while clearly defining the central topic

Required Skills:

  • Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in mathematics or related field OR Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years teaching experience
  • Teaching or lecturing experience in Mathematics subjects
  • Strong writing skills with exceptional grammar and composition abilities
  • Excellent research skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines and respond promptly to feedback

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • A strong grasp of key mathematical themes, methodologies, and pivotal figured in the history of mathematics, with the ability to contextualize and connect mathematical developments across time periods
  • Proficiency in communicating intricate mathematical ideas, theories, and formulas to diverse audiences, including non-specialists, students, or general readers.
  • Expertise in analyzing primary and secondary sources, such as research papers, textbooks, etc. and compiling complex, high-level concepts into easily digestible language.

The Contract Process

  3. Submit the contract within the 5-day signing window.
