Sales Development Representative

100% Remote (U.S. Based Only - Select States)

StyleSeat is the destination for consumers to discover, book, and pay for beauty and styling services (hair stylists, colorists, nail artists, estheticians, barbers, and more). It is also the premier solution for all independent professionals in the industry to run and grow their business. 

We're seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join a newly formed and high-impact team. As a SDR, you'll engage directly with beauty and wellness professionals to help them understand why switching to StyleSeat can help them grow their business and attract new clients. Stylists will be supported with a VIP onboarding process, access to our new client marketplace, and a number of other tools and features to help them grow their business. In addition, SDRs will be able to offer established professionals an attractive start-up package including perks (e.g. placement in our marketplace) and cost savings (e.g. complimentary access to our premium subscription for set times). Our team will engage with stylists around the country and help interested professionals to understand our unique value proposition – all from the comfort of their own home or preferred working environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Show potential StyleSeat Professionals why their business will thrive with StyleSeat, and help them sign up and onboard as premium paying Professionals
  • Proactively connect with beauty Professionals via outbound sales calls and SMS (~100+ outreaches per day via phone, text, and social media with 5-10 qualified lead conversations daily)
  • Track and manage leads, qualified opportunities, and closed sales via FreshSales platform 
  • White Glove the initial onboarding process for new pros including basic account creation and onboarding management in conjunction with our onboarding team
  • Ensure a satisfactory experience for newly onboarded Professionals

 

Who You Are

Successful candidates can come from a variety of backgrounds, yet here are some of the critical experiences we’re looking for:

 

Qualifications and Prior Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required with relevant work experience
  • Proficient with phone, text, social media and other popular forms of communication
  • Preferred experience with sales, customer service or independent styling services
  • Experience with online CRMs strongly preferred

 

Personal and Professional Characteristics

  • Extroverted self-starter who takes initiative and thrives in a fast paced environment filled with new people interactions daily
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through with conversations and commitments
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic with a desire to build a career in sales

 

Social Media Experience and Presence

  • Our community is image-forward and social media savvy. Successful candidates will be familiar with major social media platforms (especially Instagram and TikTok) and have professional accounts they can utilize for Pro outreach 

 

Compensation

This position is full-time hourly at 40 hours per week. Compensation is set at $20 per hour, with commission of $300 per qualified conversion to StyleSeat against the base compensation (e.g. commissions are only paid if total commissions exceed total base compensation at $20/hour). Thus, a Stylist Development Specialist who converts 20 qualified new stylists per month to StyleSeat can consistently earn $6,000 per month and a Stylist Development Specialist who converts 40 qualified new stylists per month to StyleSeat can consistently earn $12,000 per month.
