Senior Manager of Engineering

100% Remote (U.S. Based Only - Select States)

About The Role

We're seeking a Senior Manager of Engineering to lead our consumer-facing product engineering team during a high-growth, high-impact phase. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll rebuild and strengthen a 5-person team, while partnering closely with a dynamic product manager to deliver exceptional, high-quality user experiences.

You’ll step into a high-leverage inflection point—helping expand the team, reshape delivery practices, and set a new standard for excellence across our most important consumer surfaces. You will own consumer journeys that directly drive revenue—such as discovery, booking, personalization, and new user conversion. These flows touch millions of users annually and are central to our marketplace flywheel.

We’re building with AI at our core—from smarter booking experiences to internal tools that multiply team velocity. As part of this team, you’ll help drive how we responsibly use AI to personalize consumer journeys, enhance experimentation velocity, and streamline development workflows. You should be able to leverage AI to boost team productivity, streamline engineering workflows, and drive responsible adoption. You’ll also identify opportunities for AI integration in both internal tools and product features.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and lead a high-performing team -  Recruit, mentor, and retain top engineering talent while fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner closely with Product -  Collaborate with an ambitious product manager to translate vision into realistic roadmaps and consistently deliver high-impact features.
  • Drive execution excellence - Establish lightweight yet effective engineering processes that balance quality with velocity and ensure predictable, high-quality output.
  • Be an advocate for your team - Create a safe and inclusive environment that supports sustainable delivery, technical growth, and strong morale.
  • Raise the technical bar - Champion best practices for code quality, testing, documentation, and deployment. Coach engineers across all levels to grow in craft and impact.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally -  Partner deeply with a design-led product culture and a strong data team to make informed, elegant decisions that balance craft, usability, and impact.
  • Contribute strategically - As a leader in a lean organization, you’ll help guide technical decisions, process improvements, and long-term planning.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of engineering management experience leading product-focused teams
  • Proven ability to build strong, effective teams and drive measurable performance improvement
  • Experience partnering with product managers to balance ambition with feasibility
  • People-first leadership style with a focus on clear communication, team health, and psychological safety
  • Strong technical background with credibility in architectural and implementation discussions
  • Willingness to move quickly, make decisions with imperfect information, and iterate forward in partnership with product and design.
  • Experience managing cross-functional stakeholder relationships and navigating competing priorities
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a track record of optimizing team efficiency and delivery processes

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
