Senior Product Analyst

100% Remote (U.S. Based Only, Select States - See Below)

About the role

As one of our Senior Product Analysts, you'll be the data champion for a product squad that's hungry for insights and ready to move fast. This role is for someone who thrives with autonomy—you won't be handed a list of reports to build, but rather partnered with a PM, Designer, QA, and Engineers who need you to proactively uncover opportunities and guide decisions with data. You'll use your analytical skills and product intuition to shape StyleSeat's product vision, from conducting exploratory analyses that reveal hidden user behaviors to building the data infrastructure that democratizes insights across the company.

This is a fully embedded role where you'll own the analytics for your squad end-to-end, but you'll also have the freedom to pursue your curiosities and support other teams like Marketing, Finance, and Customer Experience when opportunities arise. We need someone scrappy and self-motivated who can navigate ambiguity, ask the right questions before being asked, and transform raw data into actionable insights that drive real product changes. If you're energized by being the go-to data expert for a team that's building something meaningful, this role offers the perfect blend of focus and flexibility to make a significant impact.

What you’ll do

  • Own analytics end-to-end for critical growth areas such as client experience, marketing effectiveness, marketplace dynamics, or payments
  • Partner with your embedded squad to drive product decisions, from initial hypothesis to post-launch analysis, acting as the voice of data in all strategic discussions
  • Proactively identify opportunities by diving deep into user behavior, conversion funnels, and marketplace dynamics—we expect you to surface insights we didn't know to ask for
  • Design and analyze A/B tests, ensuring rigorous methodology while moving fast to validate hypotheses and unblock product development
  • Build the analytical infrastructure for your domain using our modern stack (Redshift, dbt, Airflow, Tableau), creating reusable data models that become the single source of truth
  • Navigate between strategic and tactical work—one day you're presenting marketplace insights to executives, the next you're debugging a data pipeline or writing complex SQL to answer an urgent question
  • Establish measurement frameworks for previously untracked areas of the business, defining the KPIs and standards that will guide decisions for years to come
  • Act as a data evangelist, teaching stakeholders how to self-serve insights while knowing when to jump in with deeper analysis

Who you are

Successful candidates can come from a variety of backgrounds, yet here are some of the critical experiences we’re looking for:

Main Responsibilities:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in product analytics / data science, or other quantitative disciplines
  • Proven track record of being embedded in product teams, solving real user problems with data
  • Strong SQL skills with experience querying large, complex datasets—you should be comfortable with CTEs, window functions, and query optimization
  • Excellence in data visualization and storytelling, with hands-on experience in Tableau (preferred) or similar BI tools
  • History of translating ambiguous business questions into rigorous analyses, and communicating findings that actually change decisions

What sets you apart:

  • Experience in two-sided marketplaces, SaaS, or payments—you understand unit economics, network effects, and growth loops
  • Technical depth with Python/R for statistical analysis, A/B test design, or causal inference
  • Modern data stack experience (dbt for transformations, Airflow for orchestration)—or the scrappiness to learn quickly
  • Startup DNA: You've worked in resource-constrained environments and know how to balance perfect vs. good enough
  • Track record of building analytics from scratch—creating KPIs, taxonomies, and measurement frameworks where none existed

What year 1 success looks like:

  • You've become the undisputed expert on your domain), with a deep understanding of user behavior and business drivers
  • You've built a comprehensive analytics framework that the entire company relies on for decisions in your area
  • Your insights have directly influenced multiple quarters of product roadmap, with measurable impact on growth metrics
  • You've established yourself as a trusted partner to executives, regularly presenting insights that shape strategy

Desired traits

  • Self-Starter Mindset: You identify problems before they're articulated and bring solutions, not just data
  • Product Intuition: You think like a PM and can challenge ideas with data-backed perspectives
  • Intellectual Curiosity: You dig deeper when something doesn't make sense and love discovering the "why"
  • Pragmatic Builder: You know when to ship a scrappy V1 vs. build a robust system
  • Clear Communicator: You make complex analyses accessible to anyone, from engineers to executives

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
