Subaru Pacific, part of a well-respected and growing automotive group, is seeking a motivated and experienced Used Car Buyer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional who knows the used car market and thrives on sourcing the right vehicles at the right time.

Responsibilities

This role demands a dedicated and skilled professional who will utilize a variety of resources to connect with private sellers interested in selling their vehicles

  • Source used vehicle inventory from various channels including the dealership's service drive, internet leads, and street purchases
  • Leverage market data and negotiation skills to secure vehicles at competitive prices
  • Negotiate terms of purchase, including payment terms and delivery conditions
  • Analyze market trends to inform strategic buying decisions
  • Utilize data analytics tools to identify high-demand vehicle models for acquisition
  • Track vehicles through delivery channels to ensure timely arrival to the dealership
  • Determine reconditioning needs and associated costs accurately
  • Explore and evaluate new methods for vehicle acquisition, including digital platforms and partnerships

Qualifications

  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to set and achieve goals
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to deliver an exceptional experience
  • Excellent communication, prospecting, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and follow-up abilities
  • Comfortable using technology and research tools
  • Ability to assess vehicle value and make sound purchasing decisions
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • You must have or acquire a valid California Vehicle Salesperson License

Compensation

  • The estimated annual earnings for this position are $35,152.00 - $150,000.00 after factoring in all forms of compensation including hourly pay, commissions, overtime, etc.

Employees in this position will primarily be paid commissions based on performance but will also be paid minimum wage for non-sales work and for rest periods.

Please keep in mind that this range may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.

Hiring Requirements
