Partnerships Associate (UK)
We are looking for a Partnerships Associate who will work alongside our Head of Writer Partnerships UK & Europe to help a generation of British creatives, content creators, videographers, podcasters and writers find a home on Substack.
The ideal candidate will be an innovative, creative thinker who understands the shortcomings of the existing business models for these individuals. They will also have a deep network of talent, particularly in the influencer space, on which to draw. They should be both broad and granular in their knowledge of creators, as well as understand how to create brand awareness and excitement- and should ideally, have prior experience of both. They would need to be confident identifying, approaching, and nurturing talent through the Substack journey and be as au fait with creators on Instagram and TikTok as they are with more traditional mediums.
Substack also runs an exciting and often quirky events calendar and you would also be responsible for running these. Therefore extreme organization is a required skill for this role and events experience a huge bonus.
The role will be largely working from home, although we do expect this person to be based in the UK and have quick and easy access to London for regular meetings and events.
Responsibilities:
- Find, recruit and support content creators who will succeed on Substack
- Work directly with our Head of Partnerships UK and Europe to strategise about brand, marketing and events.
- Partner with the internal marketing, product, and engineering teams to shape the product development for maximum market potential
- Create thoughtful and compelling event experiences
Requirements:
- Excellent written, verbal, and diplomatic skills, with a sharp attention to detail
- A voracious reader and a subscriber to Substacks, with a keen sense of the evolving tech and media landscape
- A deep knowledge of content creators and an excellent talent network on which to lean
- Knowledge, interest, and experience in various multimedia content categories
- Artist relations and management experience is a plus
- Ideally will have proven event management skills and feel confident and able to create events that are both exciting, buzz-worthy and memorable.
- Excellent contacts within the creator community
Our cash compensation salary range is from £65,000 to £75,000. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above. Substack’s compensation package includes a market-competitive salary and equity for all full-time roles.
