The Specialist, People provides strong day-to-day HR execution and employee relations support to assigned teams. This role focuses on consistent implementation of people programs, disciplined documentation, compliance adherence, and responsive process guidance to managers and employees.
The Specialist works closely with the Lead, People Partner, escalating complex, high-risk, or strategic matters while independently managing routine HR processes and standard employee relations cases. This role also supports ongoing HR compliance efforts by monitoring regulatory developments and researching emerging HR trends to keep the People team informed.
This position is ideal for an HR professional who is detail-oriented, compliance-minded, and skilled at executing day-to-day people processes within established frameworks.
In this role, you’ll make an impact by:

Providing day-to-day HR support to managers and employees by clarifying policies, procedures, and established people processes.

Executing core people programs (performance cycles, corrective action processes, onboarding, and offboarding) with consistency and accuracy.

Managing routine to moderately complex employee relations matters, including intake, documentation, fact-finding, and preliminary issue assessment, while escalating higher-risk or sensitive cases appropriately.

Preparing and maintaining thorough, accurate documentation related to employee relations, performance management, and compliance matters in alignment with internal protocols and legal standards.

Applying company policies consistently and identifying situations that require escalation for further risk review.

Supporting HR compliance operations by maintaining employee records, assisting with audits, and helping implement policy updates.

Monitoring HR trends, employment law updates, and regulatory changes; synthesizing findings and sharing relevant insights with the People team to support awareness and consistent application.

Assisting in drafting updates to internal guidance, templates, and manager resources under direction from senior team members.

Partnering cross-functionally with Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Total Rewards, and Talent Management to support compliant and effective hiring, onboarding, performance, and retention processes.

Upholding the highest standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and sound judgment in handling sensitive employee matters.
We’d be excited to hear from you if:

Possess 3–5 years of professional HR experience, including experience supporting employee relations or HR Generalist responsibilities.

Have hands-on experience managing routine employee relations matters within established policies and frameworks.

Demonstrate foundational knowledge of HR compliance principles and employment practices, with strong attention to documentation accuracy and procedural consistency.

Have experience researching employment law updates or HR best practices and translating them into clear summaries for internal teams.

Are comfortable escalating complex or high-risk issues while independently managing day-to-day matters.

Exhibit strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment.

Maintain high standards for quality and continuous improvement.

Have familiarity with HR systems such as Workday HCM (or similar platforms), with willingness to deepen expertise.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience. This position is not bonus eligible.
Compensation Range
$100,000 - $117,000 USD
