About the Role
The Specialist, People Partner serves as a key operational anchor and independent executor for designated Network Office client groups at Success Academy. Sitting between lower-level HR team members and Lead People Partners, this mid-level role bridges day-to-day tactical execution with policy interpretation to keep HR operations moving with extreme velocity and precision. By taking total ownership of data integrity, routine problem resolution, and process efficiency, the Specialist frees leadership to focus on high-level talent strategy while serving as a trusted technical resource for peers.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, independent day-to-day HR support to assigned client groups, ensuring complete compliance with policies and standard operating procedures.
- Resolve routine HR inquiries and operational issues locally, exercising sound judgment on when to resolve problems independently and when to escalate to Lead People Partners.
- Maintain total data integrity across HRIS systems (Workday), routine reports, and talent trackers to enable accurate, data-driven leadership decisions.
- Process and resolve all client requests and employee communications within a strict 24-hour response standard to maintain high operational velocity.
- Serve as the primary technical and procedural resource for peers and junior People team members, driving organizational consistency.
- Identify operational bottlenecks across HR workflows and proactively design and propose streamlined fixes.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of professional HR experience in a fast-paced environment (e.g., HR Generalist, HR Specialist, or Associate HRBP role).
- Strong technical familiarity with Workday or other enterprise HRIS platforms, with a proven track record of maintaining clean data and workflows.
- Specialized functional expertise in core HR practices, employee onboarding/offboarding, performance tracking, and policy interpretation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
Competencies
- Domain Expertise: Demonstrates specialized functional knowledge in core HR processes, policy interpretation, and employee lifecycle management.
- Execution Capability: Consistently delivers accurate, high-quality, and error-free work products with minimal day-to-day supervision.
- Proactive Drive: Takes immediate initiative to identify process gaps and propose simpler, faster solutions without waiting for direction.
- Clear Communication: Conveys HR policies and complex guidelines directly and clearly to stakeholders across all organizational levels.
- Culture Alignment & Accountability: Embraces direct, frequent feedback, takes full ownership of results, and actively embodies core organizational values.
