Reports To: CTO

Role Summary:

SuccessKPI is seeking an Enterprise Architect to define, own, and evolve the architectural foundation of our global SaaS platform. This role exists to bring clarity, consistency, and long-term scalability to how our systems are designed and built, ensuring that performance, security, and reliability are embedded from the start as the company continues to grow.

This is a hands-on, senior individual contributor role with principal-level influence. You will not simply review designs or provide guidance; you will set architectural direction, establish standards, and hold the line on quality and sustainability, partnering closely with Engineering, Product, Security, and executive leadership to shape the platform’s future.

If you thrive in complex, distributed environments, are comfortable making and defending high-impact architectural decisions, and want to leave systems stronger, simpler, and more scalable than you found them, this role is for you.

What You’ll Own

The Enterprise Architect is a senior technical leader responsible for establishing and overseeing the architectural vision for SuccessKPI’s global SaaS platform. This role ensures the integrity, scalability, security, and performance of all systems across the product ecosystem.

You will partner closely with the CTO, CPO, Engineering leaders, and cross-functional teams to align product development with long-term business strategy. The Enterprise Architect sets architectural direction, defines standards, and ensures consistent, high-quality execution across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and maintain the enterprise architecture strategy that aligns with business goals and supports long-term scalability.
  • Own the architectural roadmap and ensure systems are designed for performance, reliability, and global scale.
  • Translate business needs into architectural requirements and guide teams toward effective technical solutions.

Platform & Product Architecture

  • Lead the architectural planning and design of new features, system enhancements, and major platform initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent architectural patterns across microservices, data pipelines, integrations, and AI-driven components.
  • Provide hands-on support for complex design decisions and guide engineering teams on best practices.

Technical Governance & Standards

  • Establish architecture standards, coding guidelines, documentation expectations, and review processes.
  • Lead architectural review forums and ensure alignment across all engineering teams.
  • Identify and manage technical debt, ensuring modernization and simplification efforts are prioritized.

Quality, Security & Compliance

  • Partner with Security, DevOps, and Compliance to ensure architecture supports SOC 2, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Promote design patterns that emphasize resiliency, observability, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure infrastructure, data, and application layers meet security and privacy standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Management to align architectural decisions with roadmap priorities.
  • Work closely with Customer Success, Support, and Sales Engineering to understand customer needs and guide scalable, enterprise-ready solutions.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to executive leadership on strategic technology decisions.

Innovation & Future Planning

  • Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends for potential adoption.
  • Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and scalable architectural patterns across the engineering organization.
  • Drive a forward-thinking technical culture and mentor architects and senior engineers

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in senior architecture leadership roles within SaaS, cloud-native or CCaaS platforms.
  • Proven experience designing and scaling multi-tenant, enterprise-grade distributed systems.
  • Deep expertise in AWS, including serverless, container orchestration, event-driven architectures, global-scale data systems, and high-availability designs tailored for CCaaS and communications workloads.
  • Hands-on experience with Business Intelligence platforms, including MicroStrategy—designing data models, dashboards, and scalable BI solutions integrated with cloud data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML services, including speech transcription, sentiment analysis, language understanding, and applying these capabilities to enhance CCaaS and customer engagement workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Demonstrated success influencing technical direction across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Experience guiding globally distributed teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background with AI/ML, analytics platforms, or workflow orchestration technologies.
  • Experience in fast-paced, remote-first, high-growth environments.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR)

What Success Looks Like

  • The platform architecture scales confidently as customer demand, data volume, and product complexity grow.
  • Engineering teams operate within clear, trusted architectural standards that enable faster, safer delivery.
  • Security, privacy, and compliance are designed in from the start, not addressed after the fact.
  • Architectural decisions are consistent, well-documented, and aligned with long-term business strategy.
  • Technical debt is visible, prioritized, and steadily reduced as the platform evolves.
  • Leaders and teams share confidence in the architectural foundation supporting innovation and growth.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
