Position Summary
The Director of Marketing is responsible for owning and leading the full marketing function for Sud Stop Car Wash across all locations and digital platforms. This role drives brand growth, demand generation, and membership acquisition and retention while ensuring a consistent, high-quality brand and customer experience across digital, onsite, and community touchpoints.
The Director of Marketing sets strategy, manages budgets, executes campaigns, oversees vendors, and builds a scalable marketing engine that supports existing locations, new site openings, fleet and offsite initiatives, and recurring revenue growth.
Above all, this position is accountable for maximizing profitability across paid, prepaid, and recurring customer segments while owning the end-to-end customer journey.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Performance
• Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that drive revenue, traffic, and membership growth
• Report and communicate marketing performance metrics to executive leadership and cross-functional teams
• Establish KPIs and continuously optimize campaigns based on measurable results
• Identify and implement innovative, revenue-generating initiatives leveraging vendor capabilities and point-of-sale platforms
Brand Management & Customer Journey
• Own and manage the Sud Stop Car Wash brand and ensure adherence to brand standards and guidelines
• Maintain and evolve the online, onsite, and outward appearance of Sud Stop Car Wash
• Design and continuously improve the end-to-end customer journey across all touchpoints
• Oversee in-store customer experience including amenities, offerings, and presentation
Digital, Social & Content Marketing
• Own social media strategy, content creation, publishing cadence, and engagement
• Manage digital campaigns including paid media, SEO, and reputation channels
• Oversee CRM initiatives including email, SMS, win-back, and retention programs
• Manage all digital business listings, brand pages, and third-party groups
Reputation Management & Customer Service
• Own reputation management strategy including review platforms and customer feedback channels
• Oversee the Customer Service department and directly manage the Customer Care Administrator
• Partner with Operations to resolve systemic customer experience opportunities and improve retention
Website, App & Loyalty Ecosystem
• Manage SudStopCarWash.com and ensure website performance, SEO optimization, and conversion improvement
• Deploy and own the customer app, customer portal, and loyalty program initiatives
Menu Strategy & Promotional Optimization
• Develop menu strategy including pricing, packaging, and product positioning
• Manage promotion strategy, offer testing, and market-specific experimentation
• Design and execute an annual promotional calendar
• Create and implement internal seasonal sales contests
Budget & Vendor Management
• Develop and manage structured marketing budgets for each location
• Oversee and manage third-party vendors
Local Store Marketing & Community Engagement
• Plan and execute local store events, sponsorships, and community outreach initiatives
-Operations & Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Participate in weekly Operations communication meetings
• Partner with Operations leadership to align marketing initiatives with site-level performance goals
New Site Growth & Grand Openings
• Lead marketing strategy and execution for new location launches
Growth Initiatives
• Support fleet, offsite, and partnership growth initiatives
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of marketing leadership experience
• Strong data-driven mindset
• Proven ability to manage budgets, vendors, and cross-functional initiatives
• Experience with CRM platforms, loyalty programs, and digital advertising
• Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills
