PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in a related field, or equivalent relevant education/experience
- Previous internship, work, or project experience in aerospace, electric aviation, EVs, engineering, manufacturing, or a related field
- University, design, entrepreneurial, or personal projects demonstrating technical skills, creativity, or an interest in electric aviation
MANUFACTURING & PRODUCTION SPECIFIC TEAMS
The teams within this focus area turn BETA’s aircraft and electric aviation systems from designs into dependable, production-ready products. From manufacturing engineering, batteries, motors, charging hardware, and composites to safety, quality, and material review, these teams build, test, improve, and scale the processes that make safe, high-quality electric flight possible.
BATTERY MANUFACTURING
Builds and tests the battery systems that safely store and deliver energy for BETA’s electric aircraft. Strong candidates have experience in:
- Electrical assembly, battery manufacturing or high-voltage safety
- Production testing, instrumentation & troubleshooting
- Process control, data collection & analysis using Excel, Minitab or JMP
- Manufacturing documentation, quality systems & work-instruction execution
CHARGE MANUFACTURING
Builds and tests the charging hardware and infrastructure that support BETA’s electric aviation ecosystem. Strong candidates have experience in:
- Electrical or electromechanical assembly and testing
- High-voltage safety, power electronics or charging-system concepts
- Wiring diagrams, CAD drawings and technical documentation using AutoCAD, CATIA/3DEXPERIENCE or SolidWorks
- Data analysis, troubleshooting & process improvement using Excel and Python
COMPOSITES
Manufactures and develops composite structures and processes used in BETA aircraft. Strong candidates have experience in:
- Composite materials, layup, curing & structural manufacturing
- CAD interpretation and tooling design using CATIA/3DEXPERIENCE, SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Process control, defect analysis & continuous improvement using Excel, Minitab or JMP
- Quality documentation, work instructions & attention to detail
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SCIENCE (EHS)
Helps create safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplaces across BETA’s operations. Strong candidates have experience in:
- Environmental health, safety programs or regulatory compliance
- Incident investigation, risk assessment & root-cause analysis
- Data tracking, reporting and trend analysis using Excel, Power BI or EHS platforms
- Clear communication, training development & field collaboration
MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING
Designs, develops, and improves the processes, tooling, and production systems used to build BETA’s aircraft and components. Strong candidates have experience in:
- CAD design and manufacturing-tooling development using CATIA/3DEXPERIENCE or SolidWorks
- 3D printing, rapid prototyping & basic machining
- GD&T fundamentals and reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Tool design from concept through implementation in a production environment
- Documenting manufacturing processes and projects with strong attention to detail
MATERIAL REVIEW BOARD (MRB) ENGINEERING
Evaluates nonconforming material and develops technically sound dispositions that support safe, efficient production. Strong candidates have experience in:
- Engineering drawings, specifications & nonconformance evaluation
- CAD and product-data tools such as CATIA/3DEXPERIENCE or SolidWorks
- Root-cause analysis, corrective action & problem-solving using Excel, Minitab or JMP
- Configuration control, technical documentation & collaboration with manufacturing and quality teams
- Developing tools through Python coding
MOTORS MANUFACTURING
Builds and assembles electric motors and propulsion components for BETA’s aircraft. Strong candidates have experience in:
- Electromechanical assembly, manufacturing processes & production equipment
- Reading drawings, specifications and work instructions using CATIA/3DEXPERIENCE or SolidWorks
- Test equipment, troubleshooting & data analysis using Excel
- Lean manufacturing, quality practices & continuous improvement
QUALITY
Ensures products, processes, and documentation meet BETA’s quality requirements from development through production. Strong candidates have experience in:
- Quality systems, inspection methods & process control
- Root-cause analysis, corrective actions & continuous improvement using 8D, 5 Whys, Minitab or JMP
- Data analysis, reporting & dashboard creation using Excel, Power BI or Tableau
- Technical documentation, audit support & configuration management using Polarion or QMS tools
- Gitlab, NetInspect, Claude Code, PLEX, Grafana experience
- Experience with 2D drawings and 3D model-based definition
The wage listed here reflects our best faith estimate for this role. We pay competitively and base compensation on a variety of factors including skills, experience, industry background, and the evolving needs of the role.
