Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Human Resources Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of HR experience, hold a recognized HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent), and demonstrate expertise in HR best practices, compliance, and employee relations. This role will support our firm’s HR functions, ensuring a positive work environment, compliance with labor laws, and alignment with our business objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage key HR functions, including recruitment, benefits administration, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, proactively mitigating risks.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance workplace culture and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, conflict resolution, and HR-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, HRIS systems, and documentation.
  • Assist in creating and executing training and development programs to support employee growth and engagement.
  • Collaborate with leadership on strategic HR initiatives to drive employee satisfaction and business success.
  • Continuously assess and improve HR processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of progressive HR experience in a corporate or professional setting.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent) is required.
  • Strong expertise in employment law, compliance, and HR best practices.
  • Financial Services or Hedge Fund experience is a plus.
  • Experience leading HR initiatives, policies, and programs that align with business goals.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, payroll administration, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
