Job Summary

We are seeking a Dispatcher to join our North Haven Service Team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Service Manager, customers, technicians, and internal teams to ensure seamless service operations.

You'll play a critical role in supporting customer needs, coordinating technician schedules, and helping drive the efficiency and profitability of the service department.

 

Responsibilities

• Answer service calls and gather all necessary information to assist customers promptly and professionally.
• Assign service calls to the appropriate technicians and generate work orders.
• Strategically dispatch technicians to optimize travel, maximize billing, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain and manage service schedules, dispatch sheets, and computerized fleet maintenance logs.
• Coordinate planned maintenance activities alongside service calls to improve workflow efficiency.
• Forecast workload and plan technician schedules 2–3 days in advance.
• Review work orders for additional service opportunities and assist in marketing service solutions.
• Follow up on pending and recommended repairs with customers to drive service revenue.
• Maintain maintenance agreements, including scheduling, billing, and database management.
• Support the Service Manager with parts ordering for special projects and other administrative needs.

• Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all aspects of work.
• Strong geographical knowledge of the service area, with proficient map-reading and navigation skills.
• Excellent computer proficiency.
• Familiarity with the material handling industry (preferred).

 

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of dispatching experience.
