We are hiring a full-time Parts Manager to lead the Parts Department at our North Haven, CT branch. This role is fully focused on supervising and supporting the day-to-day parts operations at this location. You’ll work closely with the local team—technicians, service leaders, vendors, and customers—to ensure parts availability, quick order turnaround, and a productive workflow in a high-paced service environment.

 Responsibilities

  • Manage all local parts operations, including the front counter, warehouse, and technician support
  • Forecast parts demand based on historical usage and upcoming service schedules
  • Maintain optimal stock levels and accuracy through proactive planning and regular cycle counts
  • Lead daily processing of orders, returns, and receiving; coordinate with vendors to improve pricing, delivery times, and return allowances
  • Grow local parts sales while managing cost controls and protecting margin
  • Track and report branch-level KPIs such as fill rates, turnaround times, and inventory accuracy
  • Serve as a technical resource for the team and resolve customer or technician issues quickly and professionally
  • Train, coach, and support parts team members to ensure consistency and high performance
  • Collaborate with the Branch Service Manager to align parts availability with open jobs and scheduling needs
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and service speed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work area that aligns with company policies and safety standards

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a parts department (material handling, heavy equipment, or similar)
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with parts and equipment terminology
  • Confidence using reports and data to inform inventory decisions and performance improvements
  • Excellent communication skills with internal teams, vendors, and customers
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
  • Valid driver’s license required
