Position Summary

The Business Applications Manager is responsible for the overall management, administration, and strategic oversight of all business applications supporting both back-office operations and guest-facing technology at SUMMIT Paris. This role ensures reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of critical systems including ticketing platforms, CRM, ERP, data infrastructure, and Microsoft-based collaboration tools.

The position leads the delivery, support, and optimization of technology solutions that enable ticket sales, guest engagement, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision making. Acting as the primary liaison between business departments and technology teams, the role aligns application strategy with operational and commercial objectives while ensuring high system availability and service quality.

Key Responsibilities

Business Applications & Systems Management

  • Oversee all business applications supporting SUMMIT Paris, including ticketing systems, CRM platforms, ERP (Yardi), data repositories, and Microsoft collaboration tools such as SharePoint and the Power Platform.
  • Ensure all applications support both guest-facing and internal operational functions effectively.
  • Manage system configuration, administration, and performance to maintain operational reliability and scalability.
  • Establish best practices for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting application and workstation technologies.

 

Ticketing & Guest Technology Platforms

  • Manage all aspects of the attraction’s ticketing systems to support sales across all channels, including web, kiosk, box office, and third-party distributors.
  • Ensure integration between ticketing platforms and other business systems such as CRM and reporting tools.
  • Maintain high availability and performance of guest-facing systems to support uninterrupted operations.

 

Data, Analytics & Reporting

  • Oversee data management and repositories to ensure accurate data capture, governance, and reporting.
  • Manage data analytics and visualization tools to deliver actionable insights for leadership and operational teams.
  • Generate reporting and dashboards that track key operational and business metrics.
  • Application Development & Technical Delivery
  • Lead technical delivery across the full lifecycle of application development and implementation, including requirements analysis, solution architecture, design, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
  • Oversee development across high-code, low-code, and no-code platforms, including Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Coordinate infrastructure and software engineering services to ensure 24/7 availability of critical applications.
  • Operations, Compliance & Process Optimization
  • Establish and maintain technical service procedures, escalation paths, and documentation including standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain compliance documentation, licensing records, testing plans, and project documentation across all applications.
  • Analyze operational performance metrics, identify service improvement opportunities, and implement solutions to enhance reliability and user experience.

 

Stakeholder Collaboration & Project Management

  • Serve as the primary liaison between IT and internal business teams to identify technology solutions that support operational needs and business strategy.
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Lead project planning, implementation timelines, and system rollouts across departments.

 

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Business Applications and Technology Services team.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment focused on innovation, problem-solving, and strong service delivery.
  • Ensure staff receive training and certifications relevant to the systems and technologies managed by the team.

 

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in business applications development, implementation, or management.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • Ticketing systems
    • Microsoft SQL and SQL-based business intelligence tools
    • Microsoft SharePoint
    • ERP platforms (Yardi preferred)
    • Microsoft Power Platform
    • Microsoft Power BI and analytics tools
    • Microsoft Windows PowerShell scripting
    • Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel
    • Collaboration and project tools such as Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Planner
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex application ecosystems and enterprise technology projects.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, delegate, and track initiatives.
  • Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on technical involvement.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.

 

Communication & Leadership

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience recruiting, developing, and mentoring technology professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing technical and operational priorities.

 

Language Requirements

  • Fluency in English and French required.
