What you’ll do
The firm is adding an Analyst to its Capital Markets group. This individual will report to the Head of Capital Markets and work closely with members of the Capital Markets team, Summit’s investment teams and the management teams of Summit’s portfolio companies. This role is a two-year program with the potential for further advancement.
In this role, you will help assist the financing execution process for new investments and existing portfolio companies. You will work in close contact with financial intermediaries, investment banks and other third-party capital providers. Additionally, you will help analyze, document, and monitor investments from Summit’s captive subordinated debt fund. This critical addition to the team will play a central role in supporting the Capital Markets group.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with each of Summit’s investment teams in connection with financing new investment activities and portfolio company initiatives
- Assisting with the financing execution process, including lender outreach, facilitating lender due diligence and financial model construction and review
- Developing materials and supporting analysis for internal presentations, investor presentations and fundraising activities
- Tracking financial performance of investments from Summit’s captive subordinated debt funds
- Monitor leveraged finance market conditions and existing portfolio performance
What you’re like:
- Strong track record of undergraduate academic achievement from a leading college or university. We will only accept 2025 graduates for this role
- While we prefer candidates who have an understanding of economics, accounting, and/or corporate finance, majoring in these fields is not a requirement
- Feels comfortable working independently or in collaboration with colleagues and third-party advisors
- Strong work ethic and ability to prioritize effectively across multiple concurrent deal executions
- Critical thinker and problem solver
- Excellent writer
- Strong interpersonal skills, engaging personality, confident but humble
- Flexibility to work in various roles as needed and adaptability in working across deal teams with different styles and processes
- Comfortable with a dynamic schedule, including some business travel

This role is located in our Boston office, centrally located in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood. You will have access to an onsite gym, catered breakfast and lunch, a fully stocked kitchen, and plentiful team and office events. Compensation is highly competitive. This role requires the candidate to be in the office five days a week.
