Service Dispatch Manager

 Responsibilities 

  •  Lead and support a small team responsible for technician scheduling utilization, and drive time optimization
  • Maintain and optimize the use of the Salesforce FSL booking tool (or similar platform), ensuring that scheduling by other teams is resulting in the desired scheduling outcomes 
  •  Provide governance over the scheduling optimization rules and configuration such as territory changes, skill to work type mapping, and relocations  
  • Monitor technician availability, utilization, and schedule changes to ensure that the team of service dispatch coordinators are providing adequate support to the field
  •  Establish and maintain a two-way feedback loop with customer facing scheduling teams as well as the field ops team 
  •  Oversee strategy for unexpected schedule adjustments such as weather related reschedules, or fitting in urgent appointments, ensuring customer communications are timely and professional while minimizing disruption to service delivery.
  •  Direct regular audits of dispatch optimization inputs such as skills, working hours, and territory assignments to maintain system hygiene
  •   Analyze trends in route efficiency, schedule utilization, and system performance, recommending improvements to processes and tools.
  • Train team members on system updates, dispatch procedures, and best practices

Skills 

  •  3+ years of experience in service dispatch, scheduling, or operations support.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Field Service (formerly FSL) or a similar scheduling and routing optimization platform.
  •  Proven ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced, high-change environment.  
  •  Strong analytical and organizational skills; attention to detail is a must.
  •  Technological proficiency, including intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with data-driven tools
  •  Experience in field service operations (e.g., utilities, telecom, HVAC, or specialized technical services)
  •   Knowledge of geographic routing logic and optimization techniques
  •  Experience with KPIs related to service efficiency, such as average drive time, rescheduling rate, and first-time fix rate

Pay Range

$84,000 - $89,000 USD
