JOB SUMMARY
The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for the operational leadership, staffing, and performance management of the pharmacist team across multiple locations. This role ensures appropriate pharmacist coverage, regulatory compliance, and consistent execution of pharmacy standards while supporting business objectives. The Pharmacy Manager partners closely with Store Managers and leadership to recruit, train, and develop pharmacists, manage scheduling and coverage needs, and lead change initiatives that impact pharmacy operations.
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Address performance, attendance, and compliance issues in collaboration with the Store Managers, including documentation and corrective action when necessary
- Develop and publish monthly pharmacist schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels across all locations
- Manage pharmacist requests off, balancing business needs with team availability
- Execute and maintain weekly pharmacist rosters, ensuring full coverage for all operating locations
- Lead the recruitment process for pharmacists, including interviewing candidates and extending employment offers
- Oversee onboarding and training for all new pharmacists to ensure compliance, competency, and operational readiness
- Provide pharmacist coverage when staffing gaps occur to maintain uninterrupted operations
- Serve as pharmacist coverage during periods when administrative or operational responsibilities do not require attention
- Lead change management initiatives related to regulatory, operational, or procedural updates (e.g., new Department of Health certifications), ensuring clear communication and consistent execution across the pharmacist team
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Active Pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania, in good standing
- Minimum of 3–5 years of pharmacy experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership, supervisory, or management role required
- Demonstrated experience with pharmacist scheduling, staffing, and coverage management across multiple locations or shifts
- Proven ability to recruit, onboard, and train pharmacy staff
- Strong understanding of pharmacy regulations, including Department of Health and state board requirements
- Ability to lead and communicate operational or regulatory changes effectively to a diverse team
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead, coach, and influence pharmacists
- Ability and willingness to travel between pharmacy locations as needed (estimated travel: up to 25%)

In accordance with any local and state compensation laws, the compensation listed is the current estimated range for the position. Final offer details and future compensation may be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to, geographic location, market compensation data, skills, experience, and other relevant factors. Pay Range
$140,000 - $140,000 USD
