Data Analyst

Remote, France, Belgium or anywhere in Europe

About Sunrise

The Sunrise Group is transforming sleep care with a clear mission: making good sleep accessible to all. Founded in 2015, we've grown from a small team developing innovative home sleep tests into pioneers of end-to-end sleep solutions.

Our company operates through two complementary approaches: we create innovative sleep diagnostics and treatments, while our digital sleep clinic, Dreem Health, connects patients directly with sleep specialists through telehealth. This eliminates the typical barriers patients face — long wait times, inconvenient overnight lab testing, and fragmented care.

Together, we're tackling one of healthcare's biggest unmet needs — while over 1 billion people worldwide struggle with sleep disorders, only 5% currently receive proper treatment. Our approach makes quality sleep care accessible, efficient, and effective. Backed by Amazon's Alexa Fund and $35M in funding, we're just getting started.

We’re hiring a Data Analyst to play a key role in scaling our digital sleep clinic. As the first and only dedicated Data Analyst, you’ll own the analytics function end-to-end — turning raw data into actionable insights that shape our product, operations, and growth strategy.

You won’t be starting from scratch: we already have a modern data stack in place, built by our Head of Data & Software (your future manager), who will support you as you take full ownership of the analytics function.

From mapping how patients move through our digital clinic to optimizing how doctors and nurses work, you’ll use your analytical mindset and business intuition to drive smarter, faster decisions that create impact across the company.

Our tech stack: Python, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Airflow, Apache Superset, Airbyte, Posthog.

Our challenges: We’re scaling quickly. Every week brings new strategic and operational questions that demand clear, data-backed answers. Your mission will be to connect the dots between patient care, operational efficiency, and business performance — building trust in the data, delivering actionable insights, and embedding analytics at the heart of decision-making.

We value a friendly, open, and flexible culture, where remote collaboration across time zones is built on trust and autonomy. Our aim: to innovate while enjoying our work and protecting a healthy work-life balance. Our medical staff (doctors, nurses, admins) are based in the US, while our leadership, product, and tech teams are in France and Belgium.

Your Opportunity

As Data Analyst, here's what you'll do:

  • BI tool Development : Scale, Improve, and maintain BI services using Python, PostgreSQL and related technologies.
  • Operation and Growth Analysis : Understand the full “equation” of our company, identify bottlenecks and levers, and propose optimizations to improve efficiency..
  • Product Analysis : Analyse our user experience at every step of the journey to identify friction points, quantify opportunities, and guide product decisions that improve patient care and engagement.
  • Financial Analysis: Dig into our revenue and margin to help us prioritise actions with the highest business impact.
  • Collaboration : collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical insights, and deliver solutions that align with business objectives.

What You Bring

  • Proven ability to translate business questions into analytical frameworks and deliver insights that drive action
  • Experience with Python (especially for data manipulation and pipeline work)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience
  • 4 to 10 years experience as a Data Analyst, ideally in high-growth or operationally complex environments
  • +3 years experience in PostgreSQL
  • Language : French + English

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience with Apache Superset

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
