POSITION: Construction Business Development Manager

The Construction Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new opportunities and fostering client relationships within the construction industry. This position will own the full sales cycle with key clients and partner cross functionally with operational teams.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Researching the market, competitors, and client needs to identify new construction business opportunities.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with customers and key strategic partners
- Draft documents that highlight the company’s qualifications and capabilities for potential projects.
- Creating and present business proposals that outline the company’s services and competitive advantages.
- Work closely with estimators, customers, decision-makers, and contractors to ensure alignment on project scope and costs.
- Maintaining clear and frequent communication with all stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression.
- Representing the company at industry events, trade shows, and other networking opportunities.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- 2-3 years minimum experience working with general contractors and other construction partners. Landscape construction experience preferred but not required.
- The ability to analyze market trends and sales data to inform strategic decisions.
- Proficiency in both verbal and written communication to build and manage relationships effectively.
- The ability to act independently, making informed decisions to capitalize on business opportunities.
- Managing multiple priorities and tasks efficiently to support business growth initiatives.
- The ability to take initiative and act on opportunities proactively
- A focus on understanding and addressing customer needs, which drives relationship-building and business success.
COMPENSATION AND LOCATION
A market leading compensation package will be offered to qualified candidates, including a base salary, commission incentives, a company vehicle, and standard benefits. This role can be based in Dallas, Houston, or Austin. 30% travel within the state of Texas is anticipated.
