Supernal provides an inviting open-space workplace designed to foster collaboration, which aligns with one of our core values. This position is required to work on-site 5 days a week.

What we do: 

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for responsible for supporting the execution of our commercial strategy, leading strategic commercial projects, shaping product strategy, understanding the market, driving impactful marketing initiatives and providing essential support to our sales team to achieve ambitious growth targets. The candidate will develop a suite of analytical frameworks, tools, and methodologies to support on-going sales campaigns. This role will interact regularly with product, corporate strategy, and engineering teams to gather information and prepare materials in support of sales campaigns and internal strategic projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include working with the sales team and their customers to answer technical, performance, and environmental questions related to Supernal’s eVTOL and its expected performance in various operation environments.

What you can do:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop marketing materials and tools that support the sales process and drive aircraft sales, with a focus on communicating the product's value proposition and market fit
  • Develop product positioning strategies: execute and drive strategic projects to position our aircraft and services to target audiences, including airlines, private owners, and other stakeholders. This includes defining target markets, identifying key customer needs, and aligning product features and economics with market demand
  • Develop compelling product messaging, positioning, and value propositions that differentiate our aircraft in the market. This includes conducting thorough market analysis, identifying competitive advantages, and defining the optimal product-market fit. Define and communicate the product's unique value proposition to target customers
  • Lead strategic commercial projects to support the commercial success of the aircraft program, including development of cost and pricing models and internal KPIs
  • Collaborate with product development, sales teams and corporate strategy to ensure alignment of product strategy and market positioning
  • Develop engaging marketing materials, presentations, case studies, and other content, to support sales and marketing initiatives, with a focus on communicating the product's value proposition and market fit
  • Conduct market research to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities, and use this information to inform product positioning and marketing strategies.
  • Co-create with sales and associated teams a methodology for supporting Supernal’s eVTOL performance modeling within the use case and intended route network of potential customers.
  • Develop analytical frameworks to build a concept of operations for sales campaigns that include route network modeling, fleet sizing, and assist in the development of a fleet sizing exercise.
  • Build sales tools for sales campaign requirements

What you can contribute:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Aviation Management, Engineering, or a related field required
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience, preferably in the aviation or aerospace industry, with a strong emphasis on product marketing, product strategy and understanding of airline (Part 121 or Part 135) operations
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful product positioning and marketing strategies at an OEM
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, practices, and techniques and customer value creation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), marketing automation software, and web analytics tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze market data and identify key insights
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Passion for the aviation industry and our products
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

 

 

Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of total compensation.

The pay range for this position is:

$186,000 - $228,000 USD
