The Accounts Receivable Specialist will perform a variety of accounting, record-keeping, and customer service tasks to assist the Manager of Accounts Receivable in collecting and recording customer invoices, ensuring accurate and prompt processing and payment.
Essential Functions

1. Assist on-site managers and outside sales team with collection of past due accounts.
2. Receive and record customer payments via phone and email.
3. Process customer refunds.
4. Maintain customer contact/billing information.
5. Monitor customer accounts and incoming payments.
6. Assist with customer credit approval.
7. Resolve customer billing disputes.
8. Attend virtual AR meetings with store managers weekly.
9. Assist with yearly financial audit.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including expertise in Excel.
• Ability to keep information confidential.
• Ability to work independently.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position requires no supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands

The position is primarily sedentary and requires the use of hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance
vision, and ability to adjust focus. This position requires good manual dexterity and coordination with the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours can change at the discretion of the Accounts Receivable Manager, though typical hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday work required only as job duties demand.
Travel
This position requires no travel.
Education and Experience
• Associate degree in Accounting/Finance or Business; or equivalent in experience.
• 3+ years of Accounting/Bookkeeping experience required.
• 3+ years of Account Collection experience preferred but not required
• Certified Notary Public strongly preferred; must be able to obtain Notary Public Certification
• Ability to solve practical accounting problems.
• Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals and professional journals.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.
Hourly Pay Range
$22 - $26 USD
