JOB TITLE: Surgical Technologist (Certified) – No Weekends/Evenings
Reports To
Physician and/or Registered Nurse
General Summary of Duties
Surgical Technologists, also known as Scrub Technologists, Surgical Technicians, or Operating Room Technicians, assist in surgical procedures under the direction and supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel.
As a vital member of the operating room team, the Surgical Technologist helps ensure a safe, efficient, and sterile environment before, during, and after surgical procedures. Operating room teams commonly include surgeons, anesthesiologists, CRNAs, registered nurses, and surgical technologists working collaboratively to provide exceptional patient care.
Education, Experience & Requirements
Required
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification, as required by state regulations.
- Individuals who qualify under applicable state grandfathering provisions may be exempt from certification requirements.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred
- One (1) to two (2) years of clinical experience in an operating room setting.
- Candidates with zero (0) to two (2) years of related clinical experience may be considered.
