Senior Engineer

A Senior Engineer in our Commercial Development group provides support for Coating Services including resolution of quality issues, equipment design and process improvements.
Responsibilities
Lead Operations Projects (70%)
• Identify process improvement (client or internally-driven) requirements
• Prepare process improvement proposals including timeline and resource needs
• Execute project and provide leadership to Operations team
• Facilitate efforts to complete project tasks amongst shared internal resources and outside vendors
• Have overall responsibility for the successful technical outcome of the project
• Utilize experimental design techniques and statistical methods in work
• Execute, internal tech transfer, as recipient of processes, of projects to coating operations
• Assist lower level engineers and technicians. May have direct supervisory responsibilities
• Qualify, integrate, and maintain coating equipment. Perform process and product qualification and validation
Communicates results, progress, and issues to project teams and supervisor (20%)
• Interface with clients, independently in some cases, to assure successful execution of projects
• Provide prompt and professional updates
• Provide project updates to management and track project budget and timeline
• Maintains complete, organized, and up-to-date laboratory records
• Verbally reports results and experimental issues to colleagues and supervisor
• Prepares and delivers oral and written reports
Maintains an efficient and organized laboratory environment (10%)
• Maintains laboratory supplies
• Maintains laboratory equipment and documents maintenance activities
Minimum Qualifications
• B.S. in an Engineering discipline and at least 5 years of relevant experience; or M.S. in chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, chemistry, or pharmacology
• Good problem solving skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good project management skills
• Ability to function as effective team leader

Targeted Salary Range
$88,500 - $132,600 USD
