What we’re looking for

SurveyMonkey's research and design team is dedicated to creating intuitive and impactful user experiences across our platform. As a Senior Manager of Product Design, you will lead a team of 5-6 talented designers to craft customer-centered products across growth, platform, and authoring. You will work within a global team responsible for understanding and defining customer needs, ideating, and designing comprehensive product solutions. This role requires a seasoned leader with a strong curiosity about insights and a passion for building customer-focused products. This position is based in our Bengaluru office and requires you to work from the SurveyMonkey office in Bengaluru 3 days per week.

What you’ll be working on

  • Foster close collaboration with design leaders across multiple workstreams to ensure alignment on project goals and objectives.
  • Facilitate regular reviews and approvals with design leaders to maintain design integrity and coherence throughout the product development process.
  • Lead and mentor a team of product designers, fostering their growth and development while guiding them in design systems thinking for scalable solutions. 
  • Carrying out operating procedures to ensure a high standard for design documentation, collaboration, and ensuring communication with partners.
  • Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to define and execute on product strategy and roadmap.
  • Oversee the design process from concept to implementation, including user research, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping.
  • Establish and maintain design standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency across our products.
  • Present design solutions to stakeholders and senior management, advocating for user-centered design decisions.
  • Contribute to the overall UX strategy and vision for SurveyMonkey's products. 

We’d love to hear from people with

  • 12+ years of experience in Product/UX Design, 5+ years in SaaS.
  • 8+ years of experience managing and leading design teams
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
  • Experience building products in a remote or distributed team environment.
  • Experience working with agile development methodology.
  • Experience communicating across global time zones with department leaders, leading experience conversations, and using data and research outcomes to make decisions.
  • Passion for design and developing best-in-class solutions to UX, UI, visual, prototyping, and interaction challenges (SurveyMonkey uses Figma)
  • Experience with design systems (adherence, documentation, usage)
  • Demonstrated portfolio of shipping amazing customer experiences that have made a significant impact on business and customer metrics

This opportunity is hybrid and requires you to work from the SurveyMonkey office in Bengaluru 3 days per week.
