Solutions Engineering team is a cornerstone of our Market Research division, delivering robust self-serve DIY tools and tailored solutions for specialized market research use cases. This team ensures we meet the diverse needs of our customers while scaling our capabilities to achieve new levels of excellence.

We are seeking a passionate Engineering Manager to lead a team of motivated professionals within the Market Research Solutions team. This role is ideal for someone who excels at solving complex and dynamic problems, with a drive to deliver versatile full-stack functionality to advance our market research solutions.

As an Engineering Manager, you will focus on building purpose-driven solutions across multiple verticals, leveraging and adapting SurveyMonkey’s platform to meet evolving customer needs. Your leadership, technical expertise, and vision will play a pivotal role in scaling development efforts as we expand our suite of innovative products.

What you’ll be working on:

  • Lead a team of full-stack developers and QA engineers to design, build, and scale our solutions.
  • Work closely with engineering peers across the SurveyMonkey ecosystem to manage efforts spanning numerous contributing services.
  • Facilitate career growth for your team members through coaching, frequent feedback, and providing opportunities to develop their strengths and acquire new skills.
  • Develop and drive the long-term technology roadmap.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional peers across Product and Design to define, innovate, and execute on the product roadmap.
  • Help implement effective engineering processes and policies that emphasize customer centricity, agile/scrum methodologies, collaboration, and developer productivity.
  • Own the daily management of objectives, priorities, trade-offs, and risks for your team and projects.

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • 2+ years of experience managing and leading successful teams.
  • 10+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on UX and front-end development.
  • Experience building consumer-facing, high-scale web applications using modern technologies.
  • A proven record of data-driven development.
  • Deep technical expertise with an excellent track record of working with web technologies like React, JavaScript, and GraphQL at scale, along with backend experience in Python.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

SurveyMonkey believes in-person collaboration is valuable for building relationships, fostering community, and enhancing our speed and execution in problem-solving and decision-making. As such, this opportunity is hybrid and requires you to work from the SurveyMonkey office in Bengaluru 3 days per week.
