What we’re looking for
We’re looking for enthusiastic Software Engineers to join our Survey Platform team. You’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining the core backend services that power the heart of SurveyMonkey – how surveys are created, launched, and how responses are gathered and analyzed. This is your chance to work on high-traffic, critical systems that make a real difference for our users.
What you’ll be working on
- Build and Scale: Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services across multiple data regions, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Innovate and Develop: Contribute to the development of new features, crafting technical specifications, writing clean and maintainable code, and following best practices for rapid iteration.
- Focus on Performance and Security: Develop with performance, security, and maintainability top of mind to handle the large volume of traffic our services experience.
- Support and Maintain: Provide on-call support as needed to ensure we meet our high service availability targets.
We’d love to hear from people with
- 1-4 years of experience in backend web application development. Recent graduates and early-career professionals are encouraged to apply!
- Proficiency in Python and a solid understanding of SQL databases.
- Familiarity with microservice architecture.
- Exposure to technologies like Kafka, Redis, Memcached, AWS, Helm, and ArgoCD.
- Keen interest and ideally some experience with using AI tools for development, and Prompt Engineering.
SurveyMonkey believes in-person collaboration is valuable for building relationships, fostering community, and enhancing our speed and execution in problem-solving and decision-making. As such, you will be required to work from a SurveyMonkey office up to 1 day per week.
