What we’re looking for
SurveyMonkey is seeking an Employee Experience Intern to join our San Mateo HQ office and report to the Employee Experience team within the People and Culture Team. You’ll support a collaborative, global team focused on creating meaningful moments that connect employees across offices and remote locations. We’re hiring for this role to help scale our events and programs, bringing fresh ideas and energy to how we build culture. What you’ll be working on
- Lead planning and execution of summer social events for our San Mateo headquarters and virtual teams, including managing localized "Neighborhood" groups.
- Provide logistical and creative support for planning our leadership off-site.
- Conduct research and host focus groups to identify the unique needs of our remote workforce. You will analyze survey data to develop actionable strategies for re-engaging distributed teams.
- Propose new ideas to refine event planning processes and assess opportunities for improvement.
- Perform additional functions as needed for the team
We’d love to hear from people with
- A focus on pursuing a Bachelor's degree (open to all majors) or relevant Hospitality program.
- High degree of initiative with the ability to work independently in a team environment across 3 time zones.
- Excellent in content creation, such as employee stories, visuals, infographics, and promotion materials.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, identify and address problems.
- Comfortable working with diverse stakeholders and shifting priorities.
- Experience managing internal Wikis (e.g., Confluence)
- Availability for a full-time 12-week internship, working from our San Mateo office 2-3 days a week during the summer (May-Aug).
The base pay provided for this position ranges from $29.00/hour - $34.00/hour depending on the geographic market and assuming a part-time schedule.
SurveyMonkey believes in-person collaboration is valuable for building relationships, fostering community, and enhancing our speed and execution in problem-solving and decision-making. As such, you will be required to work from our San Mateo office up to 2 days per week.
