Quality Manager
Sustainable Talent is looking for a seasoned Quality Manager to support our client's growing team! This is a W-2 full-time Direct Hire position based in the Greater Louisville, KY area. PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Under the direction of the Plant Manager, organizes, develops and controls the activities relating to the Quality System and its components, enabling the company to accomplish its overall objectives.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directs the development, including planning, implementing, integrating and maintaining, of the overall strategy for the Quality System.
- Directs the development of the Quality Policy manual and insures that it is administered consistent with ISO9000/14000 guidelines and corporate goals and objectives.
- Controls the agenda and subject matter for Plant Manager, insuring that company performance regarding objectives and targets is reviewed. Supports in the development of Cross Functional Teams where needed.
- Directs in the development of the organizational plan and implementation for the application of 6-Sigma across the organization. Insures that all 6-Sigma projects are consistent with long range objectives.
- Provides inter-division direction for standardization and efficiency.
- Manages the development of industrial based projects aimed at streamlining operations.
- Helps lead in the development of appropriate business process performance measures.
- Leads the organization in Supplier Development, consistent with the organizations corporate strategy.
- Leads the organization in document/file control, insuring compliance with GAO requirements.
- Performs other duties as required or requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM REQUIRED:
- Knowledge base normally acquired with a Bachelor's Degree in a related field or the equivalent in experience
- Ten (10) to twelve (12) years experience in the same or similar automotive engineering environment
- Five (5) years managerial experience of quality engineering-related functions
- Leadership responsibilities in Quality Initiatives across multiple functional areas.
PREFERRED:
- Knowledge base normally acquired with an advanced degree, certification, etc. in a related discipline or the equivalent in experience.
- Working knowledge of processes ISO Standards.
