Sustainable Talent is looking for a seasoned MP&L (Material Planning & Logistics Manager) to support our client's growing team! This is a W-2 full-time Direct Hire position based in the Greater Louisville, KY area. Job Title:   Material Planning & Logistics Manager 

Position Duties:

-Provide MP&L functional knowledge including new model launch planning, change control, bill of material, parts follow-up, shop floor scheduling, inventory planning, cycle checking, distribution, logistics, material handling, packaging, and industrial material to support the plant mfg. processes with production and non-production materials.

-Coach and counsel lean manufacturing behaviors and instill discipline in MP&L processes

-Meet FPS, QS 9000, DOT/HAZMAT, ISO 14001, PMHV, guidelines and regulations

-Review and evaluate future plans for expansion and/or modification of the plant’s MP&L equipment, resources, and or future facilities to determine the effect on MP&L operations

-Approve proper headcount authorization, (hourly, salaried, agency employees) and assure proper structure is in place to support the business needs

-Review future manufacturing requirements and recommend to the plant management the most economical work patterns

-Develop department policy deployment objectives, Master Schedule, Implementation Roadmaps

-Develop Capital Improvement Plans (CIB) for department

-Participate on plant's operating committee

-Participate with Supply Chain Mgmt. scheduling, customers, and plant when there are production critical supply issues.

-Assure Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Maintenance, Environment (SQDCPME) objectives and operating systems implementation

-Prioritize key issues and allocate resources

-Coach and council employees as required.

-Assure Personal Protection Equipment, FIFO, PMHV, safety, ergonomics, housekeeping, etc. practices are being planned and adhered to.

-Represent MP&L employees in local PDC and assure there is a developmental plan for MP&L employees, proper compensation planning, and performance reviews completed.

-Develop action plans to improve Pulse, 360 Degree feedback, etc. from department employees

-Strong ability to interface with plant hourly, salaried personnel, plant management, staff operations, logistic carriers, and production suppliers

Position Qualifications:

-Minimum Bachelor college degree required, preferably in Supply Chain Management.

- Automotive experience

-Degrees in Material Planning and Logistics, Supply Chain mgmt., Material Handling/Packaging Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial Operations, Logistics, desirable

-Demonstrate strong Leadership behaviors

-Former experience in scheduling, distribution, supply chain, inventory planning, bill of material, change control, new model launch, logistics, material handling line feed processes, non-production stores, material flow.

-Strong analytical skills and quick decision-making capability

-Need to work well under pressure and to be able to work under crisis management when necessary

-Proficient in computer applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc...)

-Having a long-term interest in Material Planning and Logistics career desired
