IT Manager
Sustainable Talent is looking for a seasoned IT Manager to support our client's growing team! This is a W-2 full-time Direct Hire position based in the Greater Louisville, KY area. Summary
Manage Information Technologies team members and coordinate process, operations, system development, and production activities of the IT Department. Provide advice concerning programmed applications, daily infrastructure and operational issues. Consult with management to determine departmental system needs, boundaries and priorities of new projects, system capacity and acquisitions, determine specific infrastructure, hardware and software needs, prepare, review and analyze reports, contract with technical personnel, assist staff in analyzing and diagnosing programming, system and infrastructure issues and participate in technical projects, including equipment specification, programming specification and recovery specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that all personnel have and know their roles and responsibilities in relation to the information systems that they are working with. All personnel must have sufficient authority to exercise the role and responsibility assigned to them
- Ensure that roles and responsibilities are clearly defined to maintain the Separation of Duties
- Ensure that all personnel in the organization have a working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley and Controls Resources, Information Technologies Policy Manual, and all other related controls, process flows, policies, and/or guidelines that are applicable to IT
- Manage IT Department Budget within the approved fiscal amount, as outlined by the Director of IT, CFO and President
- Provide direction concerning applications, infrastructure, and daily operational issues
- Oversee the administration of network infrastructure, servers, and clients and provide strategic guidance and advice to the Business Operations Support staff
- Ensure maximum client uptime by allocating staff resources where necessary
- Develop strategic and operational plans for the creation and management of new IT services and infrastructure to ensure the computing resources meet the needs of the enterprise
- Coordinate with the Director of IT to determine system needs, boundaries and priorities of new projects, and future program scope/cycle
- Manage strategy development, implementation, and asset management
- Manage and maintain business metrics for Information Technologies
- Manage staff to improve, enable, and accelerate the business' ability to execute their respective job function
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
- Skill level normally associated with 2-4 years college course work (degree) in Business, Information Technology or related fields
- 5 years hands on experience within the Information Technology field.
- 1-3 years of proven experience with motivating a team, delegating tasks, providing feedback, handle performance issues, and foster a positive team environment.
- Skill in coordinating activities, evaluating data, and establishing priorities
- Ability to work independently as well as managing a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
- Certification in MCSE
- Associate’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related fields and 5-8 years of experience within the Information Technologies field
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment with regular exposure to machining equipment, die presses, and industrial noise.
- Requires standing, walking, lifting, and handling heavy tools and components
- Availability to work weekends, or off-shifts as needed.
