Sustainable Talent is seeking a driven and experienced Sr. Recruiter to support one of our valued clients in Marshall, MI. This extended contract role will focus on high-volume hiring for skilled trades and hourly manufacturing positions. You’ll partner with hiring managers, engage directly with the community, and support event-based recruiting initiatives to attract top talent.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in full-cycle recruiting for skilled trades, thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments, and enjoys rolling up their sleeves to build relationships—both in the plant and in the community.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR stakeholders to assess workforce needs and execute targeted recruiting strategies.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle: intake, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management, and onboarding support.
  • Drive high-volume hiring by building top-of-funnel pipelines through job boards, referrals, direct outreach, and community partnerships.
  • Support and execute event-based recruiting activities—job fairs, community events, and on-site hiring days—including logistics, set-up, and candidate engagement.
  • Provide a best-in-class candidate experience with clear, timely communication.
  • Track candidates and requisitions through ATS/CRM systems to ensure accurate reporting and efficient workflows.
  • Deliver regular updates and hiring metrics to stakeholders and recruitment leads.
  • Leverage ADP systems to support recruitment and onboarding processes as needed.
  • Stay current on labor market trends and best practices for skilled trades and manufacturing recruiting.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a focus on high-volume environments.
  • Minimum of 3 years recruiting for Skilled Trades roles.
  • Proven success sourcing, engaging, and closing candidates in industrial/manufacturing settings.
  • Proficiency with ATS/CRM platforms (Eightfold, Greenhouse, Bullhorn, Oracle, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience using ADP in recruiting or onboarding.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in Marshall, MI.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience running and supporting event-based recruiting campaigns.
  • Creative sourcing expertise for hard-to-fill roles.
  • Knowledge of talent acquisition metrics and data-driven recruitment.
  • Experience supporting geographically distributed or multi-site teams.

  • Stay ahead of labor market trends to sharpen the recruiting edge.
