Swarm Aero is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing Buyer / Procurement Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for procuring the materials, components, and equipment necessary for the manufacturing of advanced UAVs and aircraft systems. Your ability to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective procurement will be critical to our success.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop, implement, and manage procurement strategies for materials, components, and equipment.
- Source suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery.
- Monitor supplier performance and establish long-term relationships with key suppliers.
- Coordinate with design, manufacturing, and engineering teams to identify procurement needs and requirements.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
- Manage inventory levels to support production schedules while minimizing excess stock.
- Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends, pricing, and new suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
What You’ve Done:
- Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Accumulated a minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.
- Demonstrated proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Developed strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Acquired knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials used in the aerospace industry.
- Gained familiarity with aviation industry standards and DoD regulations.
