Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our Vehicle/Sets Mechanical Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components for vehicles and set pieces used in film and television productions. This role requires technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with designers and other team members.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and design specifications for welding projects.
- Weld and fabricate metal components for vehicles and set pieces.
- Ensure high-quality and precise welding in accordance with design specifications.
- Collaborate with production and design teams to meet project requirements.
- Inspect and test welded components to ensure structural integrity and functionality.
- Maintain and repair welding equipment and tools as necessary.
- Ensure all welding work complies with safety regulations and standards.
- Document welding processes and maintain organized project files.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Welder and metal worker in the film, television, or automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques and materials.
- Proficiency in using welding equipment and metal cutting tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to work in-office (not remotely).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Creativity and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with film, television, or automotive production.
