Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Vacu-Form Technician or thermoform machine operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed and precise vacuum-formed parts for sets and vehicles used in a film production. This role requires a keen eye for detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to work collaboratively with designers and other team members.
Responsibilities:
- Operate vacuum forming equipment to shape plastic sheets over molds
- Ensure high-quality and accurate reproduction of design specifications
- De-mold and trim parts to desired specifications
- Collaborate with production and design teams to meet project requirements
- Test and troubleshoot vacuum-formed parts to ensure they function as intended
- Maintain and repair vacuum forming equipment as necessary
- Keep machine and work area clean
- Document fabrication processes and maintain organized process counts
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Vacu-Form or Thermoform Technician or similar role in the film, industrial design, or automotive industry
- Strong knowledge of vacuum forming or thermo forming techniques and materials
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to work in-office (not remotely)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with wood working and fabrication tools
- Creativity and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with film, television, or automotive production
