A day in the life

As CFO at Swift Solar, you’ll build the financial backbone that powers our growth—protecting, directing, and multiplying our capital. Your primary focus will be to develop and execute Swift’s financing strategy, secure funding for manufacturing and growth initiatives, and build scalable systems that support financial operations at scale.

On a typical day, you might meet with the CEO to discuss upcoming investor conversations and capital needs, then prepare materials for a pitch and follow up with other prospective investors. With a board meeting coming up, you might update corporate and manufacturing financial models and get a new 409A valuation. You might review cash forecasts, evaluate equipment purchasing decisions with a cross-functional team, develop disciplined cost controls and scenario plans, and find ways to extend our runway without slowing momentum. 

You’ll also ensure our financial fundamentals are rock-solid—ensuring our books are closed accurately and on time, overseeing tax filings, and staying on top of insurance renewals and regulatory deadlines. You’ll refine our finance workflows and tools to be faster and smarter. You'll be the person we trust to spot financial risks early and manage capital responsibly.

As one of Swift’s early leaders, you’ll shape how finance operates across the company. This is a rare opportunity to help launch a first-of-a-kind solar manufacturing effort—and help decarbonize the grid in the process. This role offers deep involvement across every part of the business and countless opportunities to expand your scope as Swift grows. We’ll rely on your financial judgment—and support your growth as a builder, operator, and strategic leader.

You might be a good fit if you... 

  • Have 10+ years of experience in capital strategy, fundraising, and financial leadership—ideally in manufacturing or deeptech
  • Are hands-on, adaptable, and thrive in ambiguity—you’re excited to build systems and finance processes from the ground up
  • Have structured and secured financing for complex, capital-intensive projects 
  • Have successfully raised capital from a range of sources, including VCs, strategics, and potentially government or non-dilutive sources
  • Are deeply motivated by Swift’s climate mission and energized by the opportunity to shape the future of solar

A very strong candidate might bring one or more of the following...

  • Experience securing financing for first-of-a-kind (FOAK) manufacturing facilities for novel technologies and manufacturing processes
  • A background in solar energy, especially insights into policy and financing dynamics
  • A technical background to understand engineering constraints and communicate effectively across technical and commercial teams

  • Compensation: Competitive package including salary, equity, and benefits
    • Expected Pay Range: $240k-300k per year
    • The actual offer, reflecting total compensation and benefits, will be determined by factors such as relevant experience, skills, and other qualifications
