As we expand our reach, we’re seeking an experienced Head of Sales to drive revenue growth, shape our sales strategy, and serve as both a leader and a high-performing seller.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Selling:

  • Act as the lead seller, building, and managing strategic relationships with key leagues & teams across the swimming industry.
  • Own the sales process from lead generation to close, leveraging CRM tools to track and optimize performance.
  • Deliver compelling presentations that articulate the value of our platform and address customer pain points.

Sales Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy tailored to the swimming market to achieve growth targets by helping serve more leagues.
  • Inspire a high-performing team by setting clear goals, providing mentorship and driving accountability.
  • Foster a results-oriented sales culture that emphasizes collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish a scalable sales environment by improving the existing frameworks and processes, creating a launchpad for future growth.
  • Leverage insights such as the number of touches required to close a prospect, conversion rates at each stage, and win-loss analysis to refine and optimize the sales approach for both Leagues and Teams.

Market Expertise & Strategy:

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs, using insights to refine the sales strategy.
  • Own mapping out complex stakeholder networks within leagues and organizations, identifying key decision-makers, economic buyers, influencers, and gatekeepers. 
  • Lead a shift from a team-by-team sales motion to a league-wide strategy, aligning solutions with high-level business priorities and navigating league-wide approvals and partnerships to drive scalable growth.
  • Provide feedback to the product team to influence feature development based on market demands and customer feedback.

Revenue Ownership:

  • Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding relationships with existing customers.
  • Set and monitor KPIs to ensure the team meets or exceeds monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Manage and forecast the sales pipeline to ensure consistent performance.

Qualifications

  • Revenue Growth and Pipeline Expansion: You have a proven track record of growing sales significantly each year and deepening market penetration. You have experience applying smart marketing techniques and data-driven forecasting to proactively manage and expand a robust sales pipeline to build a strong, lasting customer base.
  • Market Analysis: You do thorough research to understand the trends and opportunities in the market you are selling into. You then translate these insights into actionable strategies and target-setting to focus your efforts and position a product’s benefits to fit what customers need.
  • Sales Strategy and Execution: You bring proven experience at creating effective plans and making operations smoother to expand into new segments, while never losing focus on the customer experience.
  • Function and Team Development: You have developed clear sales processes, playbooks, and winning strategies to stay ahead of competitors. You’ve created motivating and easy-to-understand sales incentives for your direct reports that align team efforts to achieve goals. Additionally, you have experience establishing accountability structures and systematic sales talent evaluation processes.
  • Metrics and Reporting: You can easily set up a simple system to keep track of important sales numbers and trends and use this data to continuously improve how we sell, making sure our methods are both effective and scalable. You excel at translating raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. Experience with Salesforce and Hubspot is a plus.
