AI Proficiency at Sword

AI fluency is a core expectation at Sword. Every candidate is assessed against our three-level framework — be ready to share real examples of how AI is already part of how you work.

  • Explorer (Level 1) — Uses AI daily to boost personal productivity

  • Builder (Level 2) — Creates workflows and tools that elevate the whole team

  • Integrator (Level 3) — Embeds AI into products and processes at scale

Every hire must demonstrate at least Level 1. The expected level will vary depending on the seniority of the role.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Own the design, delivery, and improvement of our AI agents and other LLM-powered products;
  • Integrate new models into the platform and build the benchmarks to evaluate them;
  • Own agent real-time observability;
  • Ship the production backend behind the agents as well as the supporting platform;
  • Bring your intuition about LLM architecture and how it shapes agent architecture;
  • Grow the AI function by defining the practices, raising the bar in review, and mentoring.

 

What you need to have

  • 4+ years building and running production software;
  • Working understanding of how LLMs are architected and behave;
  • Solid experience in SQL, Python and event-driven design;
  • Experience shipping LLM-powered features and their observability;
  • Experience designing evals;
  • Experience with Cloud platforms (ideally GCP);
  • Experience leading and owning complex and ambiguous projects from ideation to completion/maintenance;
  • Experience providing technical oversight and mentoring colleagues;
  • Ability to communicate fluently and confidently in Greek and English, at a proficient level.

 

What we would love to see

  • Experience with voice agents, telephony, STTs, TTSs and latency budgets;
  • Experience in healthcare or another regulated domain;
  • Experience designing experiments and reading their results correctly;
  • Experience serving several clients from one codebase.

This is a starting point, not a ceiling — once someone joins and proves they're outlier talent, we adjust quickly to make sure their compensation matches their impact.

Job titles may span more than one career level, so actual pay depends on skills, qualifications, experience, location, and market demand, among other factors. The range reflects base salary plus any variable, bonus, or sales incentives, and our estimate of the value of private company stock options where applicable. It's subject to change, and future stock value isn't guaranteed. Sword also offers additional benefits beyond total compensation.
