We are seeking a full time Product Design Engineer who can take a concept from rough sketch to manufacturable hardware. You will own designs for the Neuralis headset and related accessories. You will work closely with electrical engineers, researchers, and manufacturing partners to create hardware that feels simple to the patient and powerful under the surface.
Responsibilities:
- Create detailed CAD models for complete product assemblies
- Design mechanical structures, mechanisms, and enclosures for EEG based hardware
- Select materials and validate tolerance choices for reliability and repeatability
- Build and test early prototypes through printing, machining, or custom fixtures
- Translate industrial design concepts into engineering ready models
- Prepare clear documentation for vendors and fabrication partners
- Run rapid iteration cycles with the research team as new requirements appear
- Support design for manufacturing and guide products into production
Minimum Qualifications:
- Expert level skill with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Onshape, or Fusion
- Strong knowledge of materials, tolerances, and mechanical design principles
- Experience with creating prototypes using printing, machining, or model shops
- Ability to take a full product from early concept to production ready design
- Familiarity with small consumer electronics or wearable product design
- Strong collaboration skill with electrical engineering and industrial design
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on medical devices or neural interface hardware
- Knowledge of plastics, silicones, and soft goods used in wearables
- Understanding of production methods such as injection molding and CNC workflows
- Experience designing devices that require biocompatibility or high comfort for long term wear

Expected Compensation:
The base salary for this role is anticipated to fall within the following range. Actual compensation will depend on your experience, technical expertise, and relevant education or training. In addition to base pay, Synaptrix offers equity to all full-time employees, reflecting our commitment to shared success and long-term company growth.
Base Salary Range:
$75,000 - $125,000 USD
