POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with strong technical acumen and deep life sciences domain expertise to support technology-driven business transformation initiatives. This role is responsible for designing scalable, flexible, and user-focused business capabilities by identifying, evaluating, and implementing systems and processes that enable business objectives in a cost-effective manner. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS), a strong understanding of the software development life cycle, and the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable technical solutions. This position requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, developers, and vendors to deliver high-impact capabilities across the biotech ecosystem.
JOB FUNCTIONS

- Partner with business stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, operational needs, and existing pain points.
- Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, functional specifications, solution designs, system requirements, and process and data flows.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable documentation to support development and implementation efforts.
- Prepare for and lead coordination meetings with developers, business users, and third-party vendors.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to review, clarify, and refine requirements to ensure technical designs align with business intent.
- Perform unit and functional testing and coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
- Validate final solutions against approved and signed business requirements documentation.
- Monitor, track, and manage issue and risk logs, prioritizing critical issues to resolution.
- Apply information systems development, implementation, and operational control concepts across a variety of technology environments.
- Identify risks associated with ineffective or missing control practices and communicate mitigation strategies.
- Support process and data modeling efforts to enable business insights and continuous improvement.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, tools, and trends related to biotech systems and domain expertise.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Technical Experience
- 2–6 years of experience as a technical Business Analyst supporting technology transformation initiatives.
- Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS) experience required.
- Experience working within the biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry preferred.
- Domain expertise in one or more functional areas such as manufacturing, supply chain, quality, commercial operations, or finance.
- Working knowledge of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience using MS Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, validate, and interpret data to develop fact-based conclusions and recommendations.
- Expertise in business metrics, process modeling, and workflow analysis.
- Exceptional skills in developing high-quality project documentation and stakeholder communications.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to clearly and persuasively present ideas, issues, and recommendations.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and effectively influence stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams to deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
