Overview
The Science, Research and Development Advisor is responsible for assisting with strategic solutions that drive growth in the company’s Science, Research, and Development (SRD) capabilities. This individual will leverage subject matter expertise, agency insight, and leadership acumen to help position the company for sustained success in the SRD market. This role requires collaborating with key stakeholders to create innovative value propositions for key government contracting opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Provide thought leadership, subject matter knowledge, agency understanding, and solutioning skills in SRD opportunities according to background and expertise
- Provide insights on SRD market trends and government priorities to inform strategic and organic growth initiatives.
- Assist the technical, business development, and capture teams to pursue and secure high-value contracts.
- Leverage relationships with academic institutions, public health and government agencies, and other stakeholders drive innovation and growth.
Qualifications
- Terminal degree in a relevant field such as public health, medicine, life sciences, biomedical engineering, or related disciplines.
- 18+ years of experience in the government public health and informatics industry with a focus on science, research, and development.
- Proven track record of leading and growing public health strategies and developing innovative solutions.
- Strong understanding of public health science, medical systems R&D, and related markets. Preferred experience in strategic growth areas of expertise in public health, informatics, health IT, research, infectious diseases, and clinical and laboratory immunology.
- Exceptional communication, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
