About the Job:

Taco Bell is looking for an International Architectural Designer to join the innovative Architecture & Design (A&D) team who can help transform landscapes around the world! The International Architectural Designer is responsible for taking our brand standards as well as innovative conceptual ideas and applying those to site-specific needs. The International Architectural Designer will report to the Sr. Design Manager and effectively collaborate with peers within the A&D team as well as International & Business Development, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and other key departments.

We are looking for a knowledgeable talented multi-disciplined architect/designer who can take our brand standards as well as innovative conceptual ideas and apply those to site specific needs and has the ability to meet aggressive timelines, functional goals and more while constantly pushing for high quality and standards across the system.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Create detailed creative layouts and design solutions to unlock brand experience and site potential per brand guidelines using CAD software.
  • Ensure all designs meet international building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations; Review drawings for compliance and approval through the Taco Bell project review system while delivering against project timelines and adversity specific to international business needs.
  • Coordinate communication with key internal departments and external stakeholders for alignment and project resolution; Communicate approvals and/or redlines and track revisions and re-submittals.
  • Regularly conduct meetings with external business and franchise partners.
  • Develop standard tools through visual guides, templates, and playbooks while receiving creative direction and autonomously driving solutions; Assist the Design Manager and team with renderings, 3D models, and presentation graphics.
  • Develop and nurture influential relationships with global franchisee partners to understand their requirements, preferences, and budget constraints; Be flexible to occasionally meet with international business partners outside of standard working hours.

Is This You?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction or related field and proficiency in Spanish required, background in graphic design a plus
  • 3+ years of industry and international experience working through the design process; experience with architectural software (i.e., AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Sketchup, etc.); Microsoft Office Suites; and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) required.
  • The ability to create and read drawings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced corporate office environment with the flexibility to pivot to various projects based on business needs.
  • Strong desire to build know-how and grow within the role and organization.

Salary Range: $­­84,500 to $109,600 annually + bonus eligibility + benefits
