About The Job

The Regional Category Manager will spearhead the creation and execution of strategic regional (food and packaging) category plans for Taco Bell, KFC, and Pizza Hut in the Latin America & Caribbean market. This Individual Contributor (IC) role involves collaborating with key business stakeholders to align on category objectives, ensuring ESG deliverables are achieved, and leveraging system scale to provide Yum Brands with a competitive advantage.

 

This role is strictly hybrid, requiring a minimum of 3 days in the Irvine, CA or Plano, TX offices of Yum! Brands.

 

The Day-to-Day

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders on regional strategic and business priorities.
  • Work with global and regional functional leads to ensure category strategies meet the broader needs of the business.
  • Lead key negotiations with strategic category suppliers.
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships and implement partnerships to ensure Yum is a preferred customer, driving competitive advantage and unlocking value and growth.
  • Identify and mitigate potential category risks, ensuring robust business continuity plans are in place to avoid disruptions.
  • Support franchise relationships to ensure franchisees are aligned with regional and global sourcing events for their respective categories and maximize participation.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with relevant regional external partners, including creating business cases for long-term investments.
  • Drive specification harmonization and optimization in collaboration with regional brand teams.
  • Champion sustainability initiatives within the supply chain to reduce environmental impact and support the brand's commitment to Good Growth, ensuring long-term ESG goals are embedded into category and sourcing strategies.

 

Is This You?

  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain roles, ideally within the food industry or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in global or regional strategic category management and procurement.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a mandatory requirement for this role.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to challenge the status quo and drive change.
  • Excellent communication and partnership skills, capable of working effectively with internal and external partners across the global business.
  • Strong communication skills in presentation, verbal, and writing, with the ability to gain buy-in and influence key stakeholders at all levels in a global organization.
  • High level of intellectual curiosity.
  • Proficiency in data analysis with advanced Excel skills

Salary Range: ­­$122,100 to $158,300 annually + bonus eligibility + benefits
