About the Job:
The role of a BI Analyst is responsible for providing global data management and analytics platforms and services across all lines of business at Taco Bell to increase engineering productivity, accelerate the delivery of technology solutions and deliver insights. This work will impact the ability of the brand to become truly a data-driven organization. Data-rich environments such as Taco Bell’s creates numerous opportunities to grow business and increase customer satisfaction while winning in a very competitive sector of the economy.
With this role, the opportunities are endless as a key team member on the Technology team, you will be part of the exciting transition Taco Bell is making in the digitization of the business. You will be helping lead the way as Taco Bell continues to transform and innovate the Quick Service Restaurant industry. You will be managing highly strategic initiatives that enable exciting and engaging technology and digital experiences for our consumers and team members.
The BI Analyst will report to the Director of Business Intelligence.
The Day-to-Day:
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced data visualizations, reporting, and storytelling using the Power BI reporting tool.
- Design and create optimized physical/logical data models and relationships required to facilitate advanced data visualization creation based on business requirements.
- Build report schema layers such as attributes, key metrics, filters, user prompts, and datasets for reporting and analytics content.
- Create and maintain enhanced SQL queries for report data validation and performance optimization.
- Collaborate effectively on-site with Operations and Finance teams and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver insights-driven data products leveraging various data sources. Be an advocate for fostering a data-first mindset across cross-functional stakeholders.
- Participate in business/technical requirements discussions and facilitate demos with finance, marketing, and operational stakeholders.
Is This You?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Statistics, Math, or a related field; or equivalent years of experience. A Power BI certification is a plus.
- At least 5+ years of industry experience in a business intelligence data analyst or report developer role.
- At least 5+ years of solid hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining data visualizations using BI analytical tools, specifically PowerBI.
- At least 5+ years of proven solid experience in designing and developing physical and logical data models to support the creation of complex data visualizations.
- At least 5+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries across high-volume data sets. Highly proficient in SQL optimization techniques and PostgreSQL database systems.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within small, cross-functional teams, balancing trade-offs and priorities while influencing stakeholders to drive outcomes.
- Familiarity working with lake houses, data warehouses, relational databases, and data modeling techniques.

Salary Range: $106,700 to $125,400 annually + bonus eligibility + equity (if applicable) + benefits
