Job Overview:
The Director of Performance Marketing is responsible for driving efficient, scalable, and brand-aligned customer growth across a multi-brand, omni-channel portfolio of connected hard goods and a companion smartphone app. Tactacam sells both direct-to-consumer and through wholesale and retail partners, requiring a performance strategy that accelerates DTC growth while strengthening overall brand demand across channels.

This role owns strategy and execution across key demand-generation channels, including organic social, paid social, paid search, and lifecycle/email marketing. You bring a performance-driven, analytical mindset balanced with strong people leadership, ensuring channel investments deliver measurable impact across ecommerce, app adoption, and customer lifetime value. This role leads an internal team and agency partners and partners closely with ecommerce, product, brand, and analytics teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end performance marketing results across three brands, including customer acquisition, retention, ROAS, CAC, LTV, and incremental revenue growth
  • Define and execute a multi-brand performance marketing roadmap aligned to company growth targets, product launches, app adoption goals, and seasonal demand
  • Establish annual and quarterly channel plans, budgets, KPIs, and forecasting models; clearly communicate performance, insights, and tradeoffs to executive leadership
  • Own paid media strategy and execution across paid social and paid search, balancing efficiency, scale, and experimentation across ecommerce and app-focused campaign
  • Lead organic social strategy to drive brand engagement, community growth, and downstream performance impact
  • Own lifecycle and email marketing strategy, including segmentation, automation, retention, reactivation, and cross-sell initiatives
  • Ensure performance channels operate in a channel-accretive manner, supporting brand equity and avoiding internal competition across DTC, retail, and marketplace channels
  • Lead continuous optimization across creative, audiences, bidding strategies, landing experiences, and messaging to improve conversion and lifetime value
  • Partner closely with e-commerce, retail, app product, brand, and analytics teams to align traffic acquisition with on-site, in-app, retail-supporting, and post-purchase experiences
  • Ensure campaigns are launch-ready for new products, feature releases, promotions, and peak sales periods
  • Manage, mentor, and scale a high-performing performance marketing team with clear expectations and accountability
  • Oversee agency relationships, ensuring strong briefs, effective execution, cost efficiency, and knowledge transfer to internal teams
  • Own performance marketing reporting frameworks across platforms (GA4, ad platforms, CRM), translating data into actionable insights
  • Champion a test-and-learn culture through structured experimentation across channels, creative, and funnel stages
  • Collaborate with leadership to balance near-term performance goals with long-term brand and customer value creation

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of performance marketing or growth marketing experience, ideally within consumer hard goods brands operating across DTC and retail channels
  • Proven success scaling paid and owned marketing channels with measurable ROI and sustained YoY growth in omni-channel environments
  • Deep expertise across paid social, paid search, organic social, and lifecycle/email marketing
  • Strong understanding of attribution, incrementality, and performance measurement in complex, multi-channel ecosystems
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing agency partners
  • Highly analytical with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
