
Buyer II
At Tactile Medical, we specialize in developing at-home therapy devices to treat lymphedema, chronic venous insufficiency and respiratory illnesses.
The Buyer II is responsible for purchasing components, assemblies, and subcontracted manufacturing services throughout Tactile Medical’s supply chain. This role will also be responsible for data entry for new items, and item transactions in NetSuite as well as entering and maintaining forecasts.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels across the supply chain to support production and demand
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of material transactions
- Identify and support cost‑reduction opportunities by providing input aligned with internal sourcing strategies
- Track, analyze, and maintain monthly supplier spend metrics
- Train and mentor new team members on supply chain processes
- Lead internal and, when necessary, external supply chain meetings
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production to confirm material availability through the monthly reconciliation process
- Document and update Standard Operating Procedures as required
- Ensure adequate material availability within the supply pipeline to support forecasted demand
- Purchase marketing and sales literature as well as other non‑inventory items when needed
- Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, FDA regulations, and ISO 13485
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager
- 5% travel expected
Education & Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- 1-3 years’ experience in buyer/planner role using an ERP system in a manufacturing environment
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Preferred
- APICS certification
- Experience in a medical device company

Below is the starting salary or hourly range for this position, although offers may differ based on the candidate's location, job-specific knowledge, skills and experience.
US Pay Range
$53,600 - $74,970 USD
