Manufacturing Supervisor

At Tactile Medical, we specialize in developing at-home therapy devices to treat lymphedema, chronic venous insufficiency and respiratory illnesses.

The Manufacturing Supervisor directs daily production operations, develops team members, and ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with quality, productivity, and output expectations. This role reinforces safety, quality, continuous improvement, and accountability while creating a respectful, collaborative environment that supports company objectives and core values.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Direct daily production work to meet safety, quality, productivity, and output commitments.
  • Coach and develop team members and Operations Group Leads through clear expectations, feedback, accountability, and performance management.
  • Build a respectful, collaborative team environment that promotes engagement, problem solving, and recognition.
  • Plan and prioritize labor, resources, build plans, and workflow based on daily performance, production summaries, KPI trends, and weekly department goals.
  • Partner with peer Supervisors, Operations Group Leads, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues, investigate root causes, and track corrective actions.
  • Improve processes by applying Lean methodology, reducing waste, supporting process improvements, and reinforcing 5S standards.
  • Reinforce a clean, safe, and compliant work environment by upholding safety programs, quality standards, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA.
  • Implement training plans that strengthen safety, quality, productivity, resource conservation, and operational readiness.
  • Communicate management direction, manage timecards and HR responsibilities, adapt schedules to business needs, and provide backup coverage as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years providing leadership for teams in a manufacturing environment
  • Fluent with common MS office programs (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Physical demands of role: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds from floor to table and ability to stand for 2–3-hour increments

Preferred:

  • Previous Labor and Build Planning Experience
  • Previous experience with Lean Manufacturing or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Previous experience within Medical Device Manufacturing
  • Previous ERP experience in navigating and investigating discrepancies within ERP System, preferably NetSuite
  • Previous experience with KPI's (Key Performance Indicators)
  • Identify obstacles within the department or process that may keep employees from being effective; take action to address issues as they arise
  • Ability to determine priorities, make decisions, and organize necessary to create an organized operation
  • Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees, peers, and management
  • Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly to different levels
  • Strong organization skills with attention to detail

Below is the starting salary or hourly range for this position, although offers may differ based on the candidate's location, job-specific knowledge, skills and experience.

US Pay Range

$61,500 - $86,205 USD
