About the Role
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at TailorCare will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of our growing value-based care company. As a strategic leader, the CFO will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies that align with our mission to transform the specialty care experience. By focusing on enhancing financial performance and sustainability, the CFO will drive initiatives supporting the organization's growth and innovation. The CFO will need a deep understanding of value-based care risk models, enabling them to strategically guide our financial operations in a rapidly evolving healthcare market.
In this position, reporting to the CEO, the CFO will collaborate with executive leadership and various stakeholders to ensure that financial decisions align with TailorCare's organizational goals. By overseeing all financial and accounting operations, including budgeting, forecasting, audits, risk management, tax, and capital-raising efforts, the CFO will maintain a strong financial foundation that supports the company's commitment to high-quality care while maximizing value for patients and partners.
The CFO will create a clear financial vision for TailorCare and oversee its implementation to align with company objectives. The ideal candidate will be comfortable "rolling up your sleeves" to manage strategic initiatives and the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring effective oversight and execution at all levels.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and execute the financial vision that enables TailorCare’s strategic objectives and maximizes shareholder value.
- Provide proactive, data-driven financial leadership that equips the executive team, Board of Directors, and investors with essential business insights.
- Optimize Value-Based Care (VBC) cost structures for market-leading profitability in line with company strategy.
- Oversee all facets of financial management, including accounting, audit, cash management, FP&A, budget, and tax, to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Strengthen the financial infrastructure by scaling tools, policies, and processes for sustainable growth.
- Implement robust risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks that could impact the organization’s stability and growth.
- Collaborate closely with the growth team to develop and assess pricing strategies, ensuring alignment with overall profit maximization and effective market positioning.
- Create and implement capital allocation strategies, providing informed recommendations to maximize ROI across all departments.
- Direct fundraising efforts and investor relations to secure capital and foster relationships with current and potential investors alongside the CEO.
- Build and lead a high-performing, growth-oriented finance team that aligns with the company's mission and objectives.
Requirements & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA designation preferred.
- Over 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, particularly as a CFO in high-growth startups or innovative environments.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on Value Based Care.
- Proven expertise in capital fundraising and fostering strategic partnerships to drive business growth and enhance market positioning.
- Significant experience collaborating with a Board of Directors to influence strategic decision-making, including delivering financial insights and preparing impactful board presentations.
- Skilled at building high-performing teams, guiding change management, and delivering clear financial insights to stakeholders.
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with a track record of aligning teams and stakeholders around financial objectives.
