About the Role
The HR Generalist (HRG) at TailorCare is an important member of our People department, dedicated to making the employee journey a positive experience and enabling a high-performance culture. The HR Generalist serves as a critical resource in managing various functions within the HR department. This role is responsible for owning the pre-boarding and onboarding processes, ensuring HR compliance, overseeing payroll coordination and leave management, and partnering effectively with the company’s Professional Employer Organization (PEO). The HRG will coordinate special projects for the HR team, drive employee engagement initiatives, and advocate for employees’ questions, concerns, and suggestions. This position requires a proactive individual who is detail-oriented, committed to fostering a positive workplace culture, and thrives on moving quickly while maintaining a sharp focus on precision.
We are seeking a Nashville-based candidate for the position at TailorCare. This role will primarily be remote, with the expectation of coming into our Germantown office 1-2 days a week.
Primary Responsibilities
- Own and manage the new hire pre-boarding and onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
- Ensure compliance with all HR-related laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards.
- Coordinate payroll and leave of absence processes in alignment with company policies.
- Serve as a primary resource and advocate for employees' questions, concerns, suggestions, and needs, fostering an open and inclusive environment.
- Collaborate with the company’s PEO on various HR functions to ensure effective service delivery and compliance.
- Support internal process improvements and coordinate special projects to enhance HR operations.
- Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives and virtual events to enhance workplace culture and employee morale.
- Support recruiting efforts as needed with sourcing, scheduling, and candidate communication.
- Assist with HR data tracking and reporting to ensure visibility into key people metrics.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships across departments to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
- Stay organized and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring continued progress and adherence to deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in Human Resources.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages based on the audience.
- Must be digitally savvy with proficiency in G-Suite, Canva, HR systems, AI tools, and Slack to enhance collaboration and streamline processes
- Ability to build strong relationships and achieve results through collaboration with others.
- Excellent project management skills, capable of addressing daily issues while advancing multiple projects in parallel.
- Ability to use data-driven insights to inform and support decision-making and actions.
- Startup, healthcare, and/or PEO experience is a plus
